Document Review Before Signing
Challenge
A client was presented with a lengthy financial agreement by the other party's legal representative and given limited time to respond. The client did not feel she fully understood what she was being asked to accept.
Our Approach
We reviewed all documents in advance of the appointment, identified three clauses with implications not apparent from a plain reading, and prepared a written summary explaining each item in practical terms.
Outcome
Client negotiated two amendments before signing. She later said the written summary was essential to those discussions. Single appointment; matter resolved within two weeks.
Case Study 02
Grandparent Contact Formalised
Challenge
Following the separation of their adult child, grandparents found that contact with their two grandchildren had become irregular and at times was being refused without explanation.
Our Approach
We reviewed the applicable sections of the Civil and Commercial Code, advised on the recognition of grandparent relationships in Thai family proceedings, and prepared a formal submission requesting a contact arrangement.
